Hi everyone, I'm one of the staff member of the italian site "La locanda delle due lune". For us was an honor to have known Greyall, his style is unique, as well as its details that perfectly reflect the game atmosphere. Greyall has been helpful, friendly and industrious ... the entire site gives his thanks to him and his artwork will be the cover of the new site under construction. We translate, create and laying out unofficial Wharmmar (fantasy and 40k) RPG documents for all italians fans (because the official publishing house probably will stop translanting from english to intalian) . the entire staff hopes for an long lasting collaboration with Grayall as art reviewer (with a personal topic section in English)
I always thought of Squats as pseudo-dwarves sense (at least according to wikipedia) they were just humans that colonized high gravity planets. In the web-comic they are clearly dwarves from Terra (they had a Book of Grudges) and I liked that better just... cause. And by hopeful I was referring to the fact that the space marines are using technology that on a whole they can't reproduce (at least that's how I see it). Like the geneseed's, it may take a few millenium but eventually all those are going to get smashed... Then I remember the dwarves of ancient Terra and their engineering skills. If they didn't go extinct and actually developed next to humans, the dwarves could be the intellects behind the creations of the Dark Age of Technology. If they came "back" then suddenly the Space Marines could reproduce much of their gear that previously they had a limited number of. Essentially they'd cease to be working on borrowed time and actually progress. But those are just my fan based ramblings....
I like the 'renaissance' feel of SM's armor, these little ornaments and slightly curved lines make it look somehow elegant.
It is the dwarf however that mostly catches the eye (even though you screwed the banner-holding hand - just to be honest...). Despite heavy musculature his proportions are toned, you've found a great niche somewhere between 'spherical' dwarfs of GW's Warhammer Fantasy and freakish, square muscled, square faced dwarfs of Warcraft universe. There's also nice balance between the detail of his weapon-armor-beard areas and exposed skin.
I really wouldn't mind seeing you doing some Warhammer Fantasy stuff once for a while along 40k.
